Position

At SharkReach, an Account Executive you’ll be responsible for propelling SharkReach’s growth through strategic partnerships with the highest profile entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, automotive and consumer electronics brands. You have a passion for – and knowledge of – digital media, YouTube, Vine, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and a proven track record of prospecting, negotiating and closing deals. You will focus on networking and selling influencer marketing campaigns to senior-level marketing executives of top global brands.

Your role will include:

  • Creating a strategic sales plan that covers the entire sales cycle (including but not limited to managing prospect lists, lead-gen efforts, monthly sales goals/projections, strategies to maximize win rates)
  • Establishing and maintaining brand-marketer relationships to ensure SharkReach is considered for high-profile campaigns and included in all influencer-related RFPs
  • Gathering intel to assess the viability of specific opportunities, determine internal resource requirements and winning pitch strategies
  • Working with internal client service and talent management teams to ensure client satisfaction and maximize repeat business
  • Being at the forefront of industry developments/competitive activity to determine best practices, identify emerging opportunities and refine sales tactics

Requirements

Our wish list:

  • Minimum 3 years multi-channel network or relevant influencer sales experience (entertainment/gaming industry preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years advertising related business-development/sales experience (broadcast, digital or mobile is a plus)
  • Established relationships with brand marketers who are likely to require influencer marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of the digital ecosystem – in particular YouTube, Twitter, Vine, Instagram and other Influencer/social content platforms
  • Extremely competitive and possessing a sense of urgency to maximize sales in the shortest time possible

Are you a high performing Sales Executive that is looking for a role with big leadership and financial potential?

SocialEdge is hiring a Sales Director for its social media SaaS product, which focuses on monetizing social media influencers and optimizing workflow management associated with building social media campaigns. The position will be based in Los Angeles. This is an opportunity for an experienced sales executive to have a strategic impact on a company and develop leadership capabilities. The Sales Director will initially be tasked with owning the revenue quota with a wide range of companies that include MCNs, agencies and brands with a focus on the west coast. He/she will be responsible for building and developing a business and resource plan to deliver against the quota. The quota will include developing new clients and identifying and developing new industry opportunities. Also, the Sales Director will be managing contract renewals from the existing client base.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Director will lead revenue generation and customer acquisition by developing and executing a sales plan covering all aspects of the cycle. It will initially be a “individual contributor” role that can evolve into a sales team leadership role depending on performance.

  • Understand the SocialEdge’s product, its value proposition and be able to communicate it effectively to customers
  • Consistently qualify, generate, and execute on opportunities that provide profitable software revenue to SocialEdge
  • Close revenue deals with a wide range of customers by successfully managing the customer decision process
  • Provide accurate pipeline forecasting on a consistent basis
  • Build an effective pipeline and execute on each phase of the sales process
  • Incorporate knowledge of our products, the customer, and the social media marketing space into the sales process and use that knowledge to uncover customer needs and create value based solutions
  • Get a deep understanding for customer needs in order to uncover the key drivers of value for the customer
  • Establish customer relationships that enable you to be viewed as a trusted advisor
  • Work effectively as a team member by providing leadership and orchestrating the internal and external resources needed to effectively manage the sales process
  • Be able to lead a team that conducts solution-selling, product demonstrations, and client briefings in order to educate clients on the technical aspects of installing the software and/or using SaaS solution
  • Coordinate regional marketing, business development and sales activities with other team members
  • Work alongside the support organization who serve customer service and account managers for the existing customer base

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 7-10 years of proven success selling SaaS software services
  • Previous experience selling to ad agencies and brands is strongly preferred
  • Strong executive presence with ability to interact with executives from customer companies and serve
  • as a “consultative partner”, not a “vendor”
  • Must have a B.S. or a B.A. college degree
  • Strong preference for candidates who live in the Los Angeles or Orange County area
